SONG MEANING

Sonido Bestial is Cabra’s tongue-in-cheek confession about what happens when music turns into a full-time race for numbers, likes, and shiny trophies. The Irish producer teams up with Dominican singer Vicente García to paint a vivid scene: cameras flashing, playlists dictating taste, bots hyping crypto deals, and an artist churning out “50 canciones al mes.” At first glance everything looks golden, yet the chorus admits that every sparkling success is actually “cubierto de lodo” – covered in mud. The song’s pounding beat mirrors the pressure to stay “relevant,” while the lyrics expose the anxiety, depression, and self-doubt hiding behind a perfect influencer smile.

Under the neon lights of this “killer dance floor,” Cabra realizes he traded creative freedom for a “galardón” – an award that caused an inner “temblor.” Now he feels trapped, apologizing to himself for choosing fame over authenticity and wishing he could rewind to face the paredón (the firing squad) rather than sell out. The result is a bittersweet anthem: part celebration of irresistible rhythms, part cautionary tale about how easily artists can be lured into a beastly sound that feeds them while devouring their soul.
