You're the one they hate
Often challenged, never matched
The joy in my sorrows
It's when I go far away
When I call you sublime
They often laugh in my ears
Like she took my parents
To make them leave this land
They don't have sea legs
But can't picture any morning
Anywhere but on their sea
That soothes our troubles
This little patch of land
And it falls into oblivion
But its image stays intact
