In "Casita", Puerto Rican artist Jay Wheeler invites us into a once-cozy little home that now feels painfully empty. He wakes up to a cold bed, listens to the rain alone, and paces through rooms that suddenly seem too big. Vivid images fill the lyrics—a treasured Polaroid on the nightstand, sleepless nights spent on the couch—highlighting how deeply he misses the love that used to make him feel alive.
Even while he wonders if it was all bad timing or a twist of fate, Wheeler keeps a spark of hope burning. He dreams of his partner’s return, saves a blank page for the next chapter, and insists that their love is the piece that will make him whole again. "Casita" turns heartbreak into a tender, relatable story about longing, memory, and the belief that a house becomes a home only when the right person is inside.
