perreandotwerking / grinding

Perreando comes from the verb perrear, which literally means 'to dog' but in slang refers to a style of dancing in reggaeton music.

It describes a provocative dance move, often involving grinding or twerking. In the song, the singer is heartbroken when he sees his ex-partner perreando with someone else to their song, highlighting his pain and her moving on.

"Una vida juntos" is a collaboration between reggaeton artist Maluma, the Texas cumbia-norteño group Grupo Frontera, and Puerto Rican singer El Bogueto. The song blends heartbreak with nostalgia, imagining the shared future a relationship never got to have.

The narrator can't sleep, replaying memories of a love that got away. He dreams "for a second" of a whole life together: waking up beside her, singing to her, holding her close. That dream keeps colliding with the present, where she isn't there anymore and he still can't accept it.

The second half moves the story to a club, where jealousy takes over. He remembers dancing cumbia with her at her grandmother's house, then sees her dancing with someone else and hears their old song being perreado with a stranger. He drinks to numb the hurt, but the chorus keeps returning to the same wish: that she still loved him the way he loves her.
