He sunbathes by the sea

And instead of a suit he put on a collar

A kinda dim seagull, cross-eyed and with a worried face

Comes gliding, looking for breakfast for her chick

Soon she lands because she spots a critter as fat as a sausage

She says, 'How tasty!' and, opening her beak

She snags the little dog like a shrimp

Sausage dog, cool and calm

Thinks he's flying in a helicopter

That big bird, how she rocks him

Between the clouds and over the sea

That's how she hauls him right to the cave

Where the chick got tired of waiting

She serves hare for cat on the plate

Something that can happen to us all
The chick chirps with energy

He says, 'Mom, your radar has failed you'
The breakfast is really doggy

When I peck it, it starts to bark

Mrs. Seagull goes and gets all riled up

Feathers fly from here to there
