SONG MEANING

Polos Opuestos paints a dramatic scene where two former lovers find themselves on completely different sides of the emotional spectrum. Over an infectious bachata rhythm, the man pleads for forgiveness, confessing that his betrayal turned his partner’s life into an “eternal calvary.” He has learned the hard way that solitude punishes, and without her he feels as if he is “dying while alive.” His repeated “Perdóname, no lo vuelvo a hacer” shows sincere remorse, recognizing that love is not something he can own or control.

The woman, however, has moved on. Every teary-eyed apology meets a firm refusal: she has closed her wounds, handed her desires to someone else, and will not revisit a “vain and treacherous love.” She reminds him that they are now “polar opposites,” forever repelling instead of attracting. The song’s message is clear – when trust is broken, love can flip from magnetic pull to complete reversal, and sometimes no amount of regret can realign those opposite poles.
