I found this museum thanks to my mom

Stunned when she brought me here

After all the times I walked past it

Thinking it was too pricey for me

Building too cold, walls too white

And then I felt a magic that inspires

At first I didn't want to go

In the end I didn't want to leave

Like I was seeing pictures of my own words

As a kid I wanted my mom instead of Warhol's Marilyn

I blamed fate for not giving me the gift of drawing

So I borrowed other people's hands

One drawing in exchange for one of my good ideas

A bit more well-behaved in class when they told me Art History

A few years later I thank Mrs. Lafon-Labarbe

Collabs, a few selections outside the frame

A hanging of paintings seeing daylight again

Like it escaped the cellar

No cash for the audio guide, I just listened to the voice in my head

I made my own interpretations, I analyzed my reactions

To those shows that inspired me, shaped me

To the times I walked out glad I didn't get it

To the guard who blends with the statues, sitting in the corner

To the cleaning lady who dances when the museum goes dark

To my friend it doesn't touch, who's got better things to do

Welcome to my imaginary museum

To stop time I found an excuse

I spent the night inside

Waiting for the paintings to whisper me a script

More real than the model
