Ever had a morning where you just can't seem to wake up? That's the feeling at the heart of this song. The singer describes the morning after a night out, feeling like he's "in a coma." He's trying everything to snap out of it:

  • He's already on his third coffee.
  • He's even taken a cold shower.

But nothing works. He's still in a daze, completely out of it.

Just when he thinks things can't get any worse, the phone rings. It's the person he went out with last night, and they have some bad news: they don't want to see him anymore. The singer's reaction is sarcastic and a little bitter. He tells this person that because they're beautiful, they can treat men like disposable "paper tissues." His only advice is a cynical warning: just be careful not to use the same "brand" twice.
