CONTENTS SUMMARY
Losing My Religion (Perdiendo Mi Religión)
Oh life, it's bigger
It's bigger than you
And you are not me
The lengths that I will go to
Ay la vida, es más grande
Es más grande que tú
Y tú no eres yo

Fall On Me (Cae Sobre Mí)
There's a problem, feathers, iron
Bargain buildings, weights and pulleys
Feathers hit the ground before the weight can leave the air
Buy the sky and sell the sky

The One I Love (A Quien Amo)
This one goes out to the one I love
This one goes out to the one I've left behind
A simple prop
To occupy my time

Shiny Happy People (Gente Feliz Y Radiante)
Shiny happy people laughing
Meet me in the crowd
People
People
Gente feliz y radiante riendo
Encuéntrame entre la multitud
Gente
Gente

Everybody Hurts (Todo El Mundo Sufre)
When the day is long
And the night
The night is yours alone
When you're sure you've had enough

Imitation Of Life (Imitación De La Vida)
Charades, pop skill
Water hyacinth
Named by a poet
Imitation of life
Charadas, habilidad pop

Losing My Religion (Схожу С Ума)
Oh life, it's bigger
It's bigger than you
And you are not me
The lengths that I will go to

(That's me in the spotlight), (That's me in the corner).

Losing My Religion
Oh life, it's bigger
It's bigger than you
And you are not me
The lengths that I will go to
Oh vita, è più grande
È più grande di te
E tu non sei me

I versi "That's me in the corner / That's me in the spotlight" (Sono io nell'angolo / Sono io sotto i riflettori) catturano la sensazione di essere sia invisibili che terribilmente esposti.

Losing My Religion (Втрачаю Терпіння)
Oh life, it's bigger
It's bigger than you
And you are not me
The lengths that I will go to

Losing My Religion (Perdendo A Paciência)
Oh life, it's bigger
It's bigger than you
And you are not me
The lengths that I will go to

O vocalista Michael Stipe nos descreve a angústia e a vulnerabilidade de se sentir ao mesmo tempo exposto ("That's me in the spotlight") e invisível ("That's me in the corner"). I thought that I heard you laughing... But that was just a dream".

Losing My Religion
Oh life, it's bigger
It's bigger than you
And you are not me
The lengths that I will go to

Der Sänger analysiert jede kleine Geste und jedes Wort und fragt sich ständig: „Oh no, I've said too much / I haven't said enough“ (Oh nein, ich habe zu viel gesagt / Ich habe nicht genug gesagt). Am Ende bleibt die quälende Ungewissheit, ob all die Hoffnung und die beobachteten Zeichen nur Einbildung waren: „But that was just a dream“ (Aber das war nur ein Traum).

Everybody Hurts (Todos Sofrem)
When the day is long
And the night
The night is yours alone
When you're sure you've had enough
Quando o dia é longo
E a noite

A canção vai além do consolo individual.

Losing My Religion (Dinimi Kaybetmek)
Oh life, it's bigger
It's bigger than you
And you are not me
The lengths that I will go to

Şarkıcı, sevdiği kişiye karşı hislerini çok fazla belli ettiğini düşünerek kendini hem köşeye sıkışmış ("That's me in the corner") hem de herkesin gözü önünde savunmasız ("That's me in the spotlight") hisseder.

"I've said too much" (Çok fazla şey söyledim) ve "I haven't said enough" (Yeterince söylemedim) dizeleri arasındaki gidip gelmeler, tek taraflı bir sevginin yarattığı kafa karışıklığını ve çaresizliği gözler önüne serer.

Losing My Religion (Menetän uskontoni)
Oh life, it's bigger
It's bigger than you
And you are not me
The lengths that I will go to

Sanoitukset maalaavat kuvan henkilöstä, joka on pakkomielteinen toiseen ihmiseen ja yrittää tulkita tämän pienimpiäkin vihjeitä: "I thought that I heard you laughing / I thought that I heard you sing" (Luulin kuulevani sinun nauravan / Luulin kuulevani sinun laulavan). Kappale on voimakas kuvaus yksipuolisen rakkauden aiheuttamasta sisäisestä myllerryksestä.

Losing My Religion (Kaotamas oma religiooni)
Oh life, it's bigger
It's bigger than you
And you are not me
The lengths that I will go to
Oh elu, see on suurem

R.E.M.-i hittlugu "Losing My Religion" ei räägi tegelikult usust, nagu pealkiri võiks arvata.

Laulu sõnad maalivad pildi kellestki, kes tunneb end korraga nii tähelepanu keskpunktis ("That's me in the spotlight") kui ka nähtamatuna nurgas ("That's me in the corner"). Ta analüüsib iga väiksematki märki – iga naeru, iga laulu –, püüdes mõista, mida teine inimene mõtleb. Ta tunneb, et on öelnud liiga palju ja samas liiga vähe ("I've said too much / I haven't said enough").

Losing My Religion (Ztrácím své náboženství)
Oh life, it's bigger
It's bigger than you
And you are not me
The lengths that I will go to
Ach, život, je větší
Je větší než ty
A ty nejsi já
Jak daleko zajdu

Navzdory svému názvu, „Losing My Religion“ od americké kapely R.E.M. není o ztrátě víry.

Losing My Religion (Mister Min Religion)
Oh life, it's bigger
It's bigger than you
And you are not me
The lengths that I will go to

Så kender du følelsen i R.E.M.'s kæmpehit "Losing My Religion".

Han overanalyserer alt, hvad han siger: "Oh no, I've said too much / I haven't said enough". Han prøver desperat at holde øje med den anden person, "like a hurt, lost and blinded fool".

Losing My Religion
Oh life, it's bigger
It's bigger than you
And you are not me
The lengths that I will go to
Oh viață, e mai mare
E mai mare decât tine
Și tu nu ești eu
Până unde aș merge

Ai auzit vreodată expresia „Losing My Religion”?

Losing My Religion (Perdre La Tête)
Oh life, it's bigger
It's bigger than you
And you are not me
The lengths that I will go to

That's me in the corner (C'est moi dans le coin) That's me in the spotlight (C'est moi sous les projecteurs)

Le chanteur regrette d'en avoir trop dit ("Oh no, I've said too much"), puis de ne pas en avoir dit assez ("I haven't said enough").

Losing My Religion (Tracąc Moją Religię)
Oh life, it's bigger
It's bigger than you
And you are not me
The lengths that I will go to

When the day is long
And the night
The night is yours alone
When you're sure you've had enough

Everybody Hurts (Tout Le Monde Souffre)
When the day is long
And the night
The night is yours alone
When you're sure you've had enough

When the day is long
And the night
The night is yours alone
When you're sure you've had enough
Când ziua e lungă
Iar noaptea
Noaptea e doar a ta
