Data Deletion

You can delete your LyricFluent account and the personal data linked to it at any time. This page explains how, and what happens to your data. It applies to the LyricFluent website, the iOS and Android apps, and accounts created by signing in with Apple, Google or Facebook. 1. Delete your account yourself
In the mobile app
  1. Open LyricFluent and sign in.
  2. Go to your account's profile settings.
  3. Tap "Delete profile", then confirm.
On the website
  1. Sign in at lyricfluent.com and open your profile.
  2. Click "Delete profile", then confirm.
Your account is deleted immediately.
2. Ask us to delete it
If you can no longer sign in, or you signed in with Facebook and want your data removed, email [email protected] with the subject "Data deletion request" and the email address on your account. We may ask you to confirm you own the account, and we complete requests within 30 days. Teachers, parents and students can request deletion of student data the same way.
3. What gets deleted
  • Your profile: name, email address and sign-in details.
  • Your learning progress, saved words, favourites, streaks and classroom memberships.
  • Any web subscription paid through Stripe is cancelled automatically.
Deleted data stays in our encrypted backups for up to 30 days, then is gone for good.
4. What we keep
To meet legal, tax and billing obligations, we keep a minimal record of the deletion: the account's email address and any subscription or order identifiers. We use it only to handle refunds, disputes and billing questions.
5. App Store and Google Play subscriptions
Deleting your account does not cancel a subscription bought through the App Store or Google Play. Cancel it in your Apple ID or Google Play subscription settings so you are not charged again.
6. Facebook sign-in
If you signed in with Facebook, you can also remove LyricFluent from Facebook under Settings & Privacy → Settings → Apps and Websites. That stops Facebook sharing data with us; to delete the data we already hold, delete your account as described above.
