Impotriva Lor Lyrics in English by Alexandra Ungureanu, Andrei Vitan
Venin translates to "venom" in English. It's a striking and evocative word that immediately brings to mind danger and toxicity, making it quite memorable.
In the song, it's used metaphorically to describe the malicious and harmful glares from others: "Și să simți cum vin priviri cu venin din ochii lor" (And to feel how gazes with venom come from their eyes). This powerful imagery conveys the pain and negativity the singer faces, making the word stand out as a unique and impactful choice.
Impotriva Lor is an anthem for anyone who feels like life is a non-stop sprint controlled by other people’s expectations. Alexandra Ungureanu and Andrei Vitan paint the picture of constantly checking the clock, dodging “avalanches of lies”, and feeling poisonous stares trying to pin you down. Yet, instead of surrendering, the singers turn the pressure into fuel, vowing that no one can steal their dreams or throw mud on their hopes. The whole track pulses with that adrenaline rush you get when you decide to stand tall, even when the world wants you on your knees.
By the second verse the message shifts from personal defiance to shared empowerment. Andrei jumps in like a motivational coach, urging you to rise after every fall, ignore the “arrows” in other people’s eyes, and sail past storms with the wind in your hair. Together they remind us that courage is a habit: once you learn to “not die” spiritually, every new battle becomes another reason to lift your head higher. The result is a high-energy, feel-good rallying cry that turns resistance into rhythm and proves that believing in yourself is the fastest way to outrun them all.
