Luana, born Luana Persincula Andino in Colonia del Sacramento in 2001, is one of Uruguay's most visible young pop voices. She began by posting covers as a teenager and released her first single, "Amarte no se olvida", in 2018.
Her sound sits between Latin pop and the cumbia and plena rhythms that fill Uruguayan radio, and she moves between the two comfortably. In 2020 she won a Graffiti Award, Uruguay's main music prize, for "Mi primer amor".
Alongside her own releases she has become a familiar face on television, coaching on La Voz Uruguay and later on La Voz Kids. Her songs tend to be direct and conversational, built around everyday heartbreak and self worth.
