Singuila, born Bedaya N'Garo Singuila in 1977 in Suresnes, France, is a French R&B singer with Central African and Congolese roots. His first name means "thank you" in Sango, a language spoken in the Central African Republic.
Before going solo, he was part of the group Psyché and briefly tried his hand at rap with the collective Secteur Ä, performing under the name "Kayzo." He broke through as a solo R&B artist in 2003 with his debut album On ne vit qu'une fois, which produced the hit singles "Aïcha" and "C'est trop." He also teamed up with British singer Jamelia for a bilingual version of "Thank You" that became a hit across France.
Singuila continued to release acclaimed albums, including Ghetto Compositeur in 2006 and Ça fait mal in 2009, a tribute to his late father. Beyond music, he has also served as a judge on The Voice Afrique francophone.
