Ever been in a relationship where you feel like you're just too much for the other person? That's exactly what Nina Chuba is singing about here. She's out at a club, feeling the music, and declaring, "Ich fühle nichts außer dem Bass" (I feel nothing but the bass). Her partner clearly doesn't approve of her lifestyle, her clothes, or her attitude. She asks, "Ist mein Outfit dir zu knapp?" (Is my outfit too revealing for you?), knowing he can't handle her freedom.
The whole song is a massive declaration of independence. She realizes that trying to change for someone else is pointless, singing, "Bin zu viel für dich, selbst wenn ich mich versuche zu verbiegen" (I'm too much for you, even when I try to bend myself). The chorus is the ultimate breakup anthem. Instead of being sad, she's defiant and ready to celebrate her freedom, even if it means everything is falling apart. She shouts the main point of the song into the night: "Wenn das Liebe ist, dann will ich sie nicht" (If this is love, then I don't want it).
This song is a massive, fun fantasy about getting everything you could possibly want. Nina Chuba isn't shy about it; she lays out a huge list of desires, from the simple to the completely over-the-top. She wants "Immos... Dollars... fliegen wie bei Marvel" (real estate... dollars... to fly like in a Marvel movie). It's a daydream of ultimate luxury, where breakfast is "Canapés und ein Wildberry-Lillet" and you have "Flamingos in mei'm Garten" (flamingos in my garden).
What makes the song so great is that it's not just about selfish greed. Amidst wanting to buy an island and bathe in champagne, she also wants to take care of her people. She dreams of buying "ein Haus für meine Mama an der Küste von Catania" (a house for my mom on the coast of Catania) and wants all her friends to live on her street. It's a song about wanting it all, not just for yourself, but to share with the people you love.
Mangos Mit Chili is Nina Chuba’s sonic postcard from a grey, traffic-clogged city to a sun-drenched dreamscape. The German artist kicks things off with clinking glasses and fresh energy, announcing that she brings “frischer Wind für die Szene”—a fresh breeze for the scene. When the daily grind feels cold and claustrophobic, she refuses to stay stuck. Instead, she paints her own sky blue, cranks the volume, and turns every street into a dance floor.
The chorus whisks us away to Mexico City where mangos with chili replace office jobs and palm trees tower over mini skirts. It’s a playful declaration of freedom: ditch what weighs you down, travel at high-speed, and chase the good vibes wherever they lead. Whether she’s touring the charts, disappearing on an island, or simply daydreaming in Berlin, Nina’s message stays the same—life tastes better when you season it with bold flavors, bright colors, and a fearless sense of adventure.
Feel the rush of a summer-bright love story
Imagine cruising through sun-lit Berlin with the windows down, a little cash in your pocket, some carefree swagger in your cargo pants and the one person who suddenly means everything sitting beside you. In Kilimanjaro, German artist Nina Chuba captures that electrifying moment when friendship flips into romance. Her lyrics paint snapshots of cosmic signs, stolen glances and soft landings on cashmere sheets, all while comparing the dizzying height of new love to Africa’s tallest peak. It is an ode to living fast, following gut feelings and letting the heart race like a cardio workout on the open road.
The song’s chorus becomes a mantra: sunshine over Berlin, spontaneous road-trips, minimal baggage and maximum emotion. “Wolke sieben” (cloud nine) and “so high wie Kilimanjaro” sum up a love that feels both weightless and towering. Chuba invites listeners to surrender to the moment, kiss in public, count freckles and believe that everything is perfect right now. The result is a breezy, addictive anthem that turns urban scenery into a playground for limitless affection.
Neben Mir is a late-night confession turned indie-pop banger. The moment her phone lights up, Nina Chuba dives headfirst into “ein, zwei Stunden Chaos,” fast-forwarding through reckless fun only to wake up with nothing but a hangover and self-doubt. The song captures that dizzy feeling of standing right beside someone yet completely beside yourself—your plans scrambled, your mind foggy, your life suddenly playing in reverse as you wonder, When did I lose myself?
Beneath the catchy beat, Nina paints a vivid picture of a relationship that shines like a dusty pair of rose-colored glasses. Every time the other person slips them on her, she sees what they need her to see and hands over everything they want. She wishes she were stronger, but each escape leaves her a little emptier. With blurred vision and glassy eyes, she finally admits, “Baby, I’m sorry, aber das kann nicht funktionier’n.” It’s a relatable anthem about recognizing toxic cycles, reclaiming your focus, and stepping out of the haze so you can star in your own film again.
Alles Gleich captures the moment when a dream finally comes true… and still feels strangely familiar. Nina Chuba looks back on the journey from crying on public transport to shedding the same tears in a luxury ride-share, from hustling for any slice of hype to actually tasting fame. Money is rolling in, designer clothes are on, painkillers and smoke are always nearby, yet the emotional weight refuses to budge. Success changes the setting, not the feeling.
Below the catchy beat lies a confession: the small-town girl in the oversized hoodie is still searching for real happiness, worried she’s losing old friends while making no new ones. Even with bigger stages and brighter lights, her heart stays the same size and just as heavy. The song is a melodic reminder that you can swap the U-Bahn for an Uber, but if you don’t address what hurts inside, am Ende bleibt alles gleich – in the end, everything stays the same.
Imagine opening all the windows of a freshly decluttered flat, cranking the stereo to the max, and twirling around in pure relief — that is the energy of Nina Chuba’s “80qm.” In just eighty square meters, the German singer paints a bright post-breakup picture: the ex’s car is finally gone from the driveway, their ugly couch is on its way out, and every forgotten carton stuffed with old memories is driving off for good. The song turns a small apartment into a huge symbol of Freiheit (freedom), where new haircuts, fresh flowers, and unapologetically loud playlists mark the start of a fearless new chapter.
“80qm” celebrates the sweet rush of starting over. Nina cheekily waves goodbye like a queen, laughs at the stains on her ex’s “white vest,” and dances to all the tracks they used to hate. It is a victory anthem for anyone who has ever realized that life instantly feels sunnier once toxic baggage is hauled away. By the last chorus, those modest eighty square meters feel like an infinite playground for self-love, confidence, and second chances.
Imagine spotting shimmering water on the horizon, only to discover it is nothing but hot air. That is the feeling Nina Chuba captures in Fata Morgana. The German singer paints her love interest as a dazzling mirage: beautiful, icy, and always just out of reach. She stares into eyes that were never really there for her, chasing a vision that disappears the moment she tries to touch it. The title itself refers to a type of optical illusion, setting the stage for a story where reality warps and trust melts away in the heat.
Throughout the song she battles between head and heart. Hundred red flags flap in the wind, yet the illusion still tempts her to dance a little longer. Each spark the mirage leaves behind burns holes in her world, making it harder to sleep, harder to move on. In the end Nina resolves to walk past the lit-up apartment and break the spell, but the ghost of that perfect illusion lingers in her dreams. Fata Morgana is a catchy reminder that some people are simply too perfect to be true—and learning to spot the mirage is the first step toward freedom.
Nina Chuba's "Glatteis" (which means "Black Ice") is all about that intense, almost reckless feeling when you're drawn back to someone, even when you know it's probably a bad idea. She sings, "Glatteis, Glatteis, führ mich auf's Glatteis / Ich fahr' in dich rein, egal, was der Preis ist" [Black ice, black ice, lead me onto the black ice / I'll drive into you, no matter the price], which perfectly sets the scene for a relationship that feels dangerous but irresistible. It's like she's driving at "zweihundert km/h" [two hundred km/h] on a highway of black ice, completely aware of the risk but unable to stop.
You can really feel the push and pull in the lyrics. She knows they're going "im Kreis drehen" [in circles], and there's a sense of desperation as she asks, "Wo bist du? Wo muss ich hin? Bist du noch wach?" [Where are you? Where do I have to go? Are you still awake?]. It's that last-ditch effort, that one more time, where everything else is "scheißegal" [f***ing irrelevant] except getting back to that person. It's a super relatable feeling of being completely consumed by a connection, even when your head tells you to stay away.
Stuck on a never-ending train ride, “Ende” captures the moment you realise a relationship has become a dead end. Nina Chuba races through Berlin’s S-Bahn with tunnel vision, replaying explosive arguments that feel like New Year’s Eve fireworks without any reason to celebrate. The cold necklace from her partner tightens like a noose, and even a crowded bar cannot mask how lonely two people can be together. Cigarette smoke becomes her signal flare, each ash-flick a wish to find the way home to herself.
The song is a breakup epiphany wrapped in vivid urban imagery. As dawn creeps in, she sketches “final lines” across the sky, admitting that from the very beginning this love was a bad idea. Shivering in her partner’s T-shirt, she asks the piercing question, “Why am I freezing when you should be keeping me warm?” By the last chorus she confronts the truth: she is lost because she is in the wrong place, with the wrong person. “Ende” turns heartbreak into empowerment, inviting listeners to light their own signal flame and walk toward a sunrise that belongs solely to them.
Nina Chuban „Wenn Das Liebe Ist” on bileisiin sijoittuva, terävästi irrotteleva kuvaus suhteesta, jossa toinen yrittää rajoittaa laulajan vapautta.
Umjesto suza, ona pleše sama, viče u noć i kaže: „Seh’ ich viel zu gut aus, viel zu gut drauf” [„Izgledam predobro i predobro sam raspoložena”]. Čak i kad se sve raspada, ona to slavi, pije vino ispred kluba i priznaje: „Ohne dich geht es mir blendend” [„Bez tebe mi je sjajno”]. Pjesma tako pretvara prekid u glasnu, pomalo drsku odluku: ako ljubav znači kontrolu i odricanje od sebe, ona bira bas, neonsko svjetlo i vlastitu slobodu.
W „Wenn Das Liebe Ist” Nina Chuba zabiera nas do klubu o północy, gdzie bas zagłusza myśli, a bohaterka tańczy, krzyczy i czuje się żywa.
Zamiast płakać, bohaterka „tanz' allein” [tańczy sama] i „schrei' es raus in die Nacht” [wykrzykuje to w noc].
