Rum E Cioccolata Lyrics in English by DELIA, FIAT131
Camurria is a fantastic word from the Sicilian dialect that means 'annoyance', 'bother', or 'hassle'. You won't find it in a standard Italian dictionary, which makes it a special gem to learn!
In the song, the singer expresses her frustration with the relationship's drama, saying she wanted her lover's seductive voice, "e non tutta sta camurria" (and not all this hassle). It's a powerful, colloquial way to say you're fed up with a difficult situation.
Get ready to explore a love story that's as bittersweet and intoxicating as its title! "Rum E Cioccolata" by DELIA and FIAT131 dives deep into the heart of a passionate but stormy relationship. The song paints a picture of a couple caught in a never-ending cycle of breaking up and making up. They describe their love as a "guerra fredda" (a cold war), full of jealousy, broken promises, and constant drama. It’s a relationship with a bitter aftertaste, yet one they can't seem to quit.
The singers use a perfect metaphor to describe their connection: they are "rum e cioccolata" (rum and chocolate). This powerful image captures the essence of their bond: a mix of the strong, bitter taste of rum and the sweet comfort of chocolate. They know they might be "case perse" (lost causes), but they are hopelessly drawn to each other. Despite the pain and conflict, the chorus reveals a powerful truth: this chaotic, intense love is the only kind they know, and they wouldn't have it any other way. It's a song about loving someone so much that even the fights feel like part of the magic.
