EmmaKings pitched left-handed in the Toronto Blue Jays organization before he sang bachata for a living. Born Emmanuel Reyes Evangelista in Santo Domingo in 1997, he signed with the Blue Jays as a teenager, spent three seasons in their rookie-level clubs in the Dominican Republic and Florida, and was released without reaching the majors. He started releasing music in 2019.

His first credit came in 2020 on Wilmore "Bimbo" Franco's Classic American Tunes In Bachata, an album of American songs rebuilt as bachata by a guitarist who has played with Aventura and Romeo Santos. His own run of singles followed: "Ella" and "¿Que Tengo Que Hacer?" in 2020, "Me Enamoré" as a duet with Scarlet Evang in 2021, "Jangueo" in 2022, then "Regresa" and "Traicionera" in 2024. He works in singles, not albums, and the sound leans hard on the guitar figures of modern bachata even when the writing is closer to Latin pop. In 2022 he sang Marc Anthony's "Flor Pálida" at the blind auditions of the second season of The Voice Dominicana.

CONTENTS SUMMARY
Me Enamoré (I Fell In Love)
Cuando vi tus ojos por primera vez
Fue como una magia y me enamoré
Me enamoré, me enamoré, me enamoré
Tu ternura me envolvía
When I saw your eyes for the first time
It was like magic and I fell in love
I fell in love, I fell in love, I fell in love
Your tenderness enveloped me

Dominican artist EmmaKings slows down reggaeton's usual party groove to tell a classic 'friends to lovers' story in "Me Enamoré" (I Fell in Love). He takes us back to childhood memories, singing "Cuando pequeño solía caminar contigo, de mano con mano" (When I was little I used to walk with you, hand in hand). It turns out this romance wasn't a sudden shock—it grew out of years of trust and shared history. Still, the moment he finally realized he had caught feelings hit him like a lightning bolt, marked by the cute sound effect "Pum pum, sucedió la magia" (Boom boom, the magic happened).

What makes his confession so endearing is that he does not praise typical runway looks. Instead, he falls head over heels for her weird side: "Me enamoré de tu locura / Y de esa forma rara tuya" (I fell in love with your craziness / And with that strange way of yours). In Spanish, locura is often used affectionately for someone's playful quirks and wild energy rather than actual madness. EmmaKings spells out the relief of crossing the friend zone with "qué feliz me siento cuando siento que / Soy más que tu amigo" (how happy I feel when I feel that / I am more than your friend), celebrating the goofy spark that turned a childhood buddy into his safe harbor.

Ella (She)
Ella, mujer hermosa, divina y preciosa
Que no tiene comparación
Ella es buena y mala
Tiene los trucos necesarios que controlan
She, a beautiful, divine and precious woman
Who has no equal
She is good and bad
She has the necessary tricks that take control

Dominican artist EmmaKings lays all his cards on the table in Ella, a reggaeton track about being completely hypnotized by a woman who holds all the cards. He calls her a mix of good and bad, admitting she has los trucos necesarios (the necessary tricks) to take total control over him. When she whispers "Siénteme" ("Feel me") in his ear, his skin literally gets goosebumps (sólo el roce eriza mi piel). He even calls her his "mami chula", a classic Latin American slang term of endearment that translates to something like "gorgeous girl" or "hot mama."

What makes this track fun is how dramatic his devotion gets. He is ready to trade his entire heart for a single kiss, saying he wants to tie himself to her como un nudo (like a knot). In his eyes, her sparkling blink stands out in any crowd, driving him crazy enough to shout that she is literal tú eres mi todo ("literally my everything").

¿Que Tengo Que Hacer? (What Do I Have To Do?)
They say you have a heavenly touch
To cause every man to melt
With your magnificent way of speaking, the way you are
And with that attitude which penetrates

In this track, Dominican artist EmmaKings is completely captivated by a woman and spends the whole song asking her what he needs to do to win her over. He feels she has a "toque celestial" [celestial touch] that makes every man melt. His central pickup line is one for the ages: "Creo que tu piel destila miel / Y quiero ser apicultor" [I believe your skin distills honey / and I want to be a beekeeper]. He just wants to be the only one who gets to taste her!

The chorus is a direct and desperate plea: "¿Qué tengo que hacer? Pa' tenerte" [What do I have to do? To have you]. He sees her as an angelic figure, asking what he must do to "cuidar de tus alas" [take care of your wings]. But his feelings are far from angelic. Seeing her makes him feel like "un volcán erupciona" [a volcano is erupting] inside him, and he wants her like a "tsunami en mi" [tsunami in me]. He's willing to do anything, even "bajo hasta la luna" [go down to the moon] for her.

Me Enamoré (Aşık Oldum)
Cuando vi tus ojos por primera vez
Fue como una magia y me enamoré
Me enamoré, me enamoré, me enamoré
Tu ternura me envolvía

Me Enamoré (Zakochałem się)
Cuando vi tus ojos por primera vez
Fue como una magia y me enamoré
Me enamoré, me enamoré, me enamoré
Tu ternura me envolvía
Kiedy zobaczyłem twoje oczy po raz pierwszy
To było jak magia i zakochałem się
Zakochałem się, zakochałem się, zakochałem się
Twoja czułość mnie otaczała

Znasz to uczucie, kiedy zwykła znajomość nagle zamienia się w coś znacznie większego? W reggaetonowym utworze „Me Enamoré” pochodzący z Dominikany EmmaKings opowiada właśnie o takim momencie olśnienia.

Me Enamoré (Ich habe mich verliebt)
Cuando vi tus ojos por primera vez
Fue como una magia y me enamoré
Me enamoré, me enamoré, me enamoré
Tu ternura me envolvía

Me Enamoré (Jag blev kär)
Cuando vi tus ojos por primera vez
Fue como una magia y me enamoré
Me enamoré, me enamoré, me enamoré
Tu ternura me envolvía

Me Enamoré (Ik werd verliefd)
Cuando vi tus ojos por primera vez
Fue como una magia y me enamoré
Me enamoré, me enamoré, me enamoré
Tu ternura me envolvía
Jouw tederheid omhulde me

Me Enamoré (Я влюбилась)
Cuando vi tus ojos por primera vez
Fue como una magia y me enamoré
Me enamoré, me enamoré, me enamoré
Tu ternura me envolvía

Jangueo (Hang Out)
A drop can pierce through
No matter how hard the rock may be, no
There are a hundred reasons to continue
But only one was needed to end it

Jangueo captures the exact moment when heartbreak flips into freedom. EmmaKings starts by admitting that even the strongest rock can be pierced by a single drop, meaning a relationship can crumble from one decisive moment. He recognizes that although there were hundreds of reasons to stay, just one was enough to call it quits. Instead of drowning in regret, he reminds his ex that time never comes back and neither will he. The chorus erupts with the chant "Ahora lo que quiero es jangueo" which translates to "What I want now is to hang out", signaling his choice to trade sorrow for nonstop partying, bellaqueo (flirting) and perreo (reggaeton dancing).

The song’s energy is pure post-breakup liberation: EmmaKings counts new admirers, ignores the ex’s calls and lists the perks of his fresh start. Behind the upbeat reggaeton rhythm lies a message of self-worth and moving on. If someone cannot value you, the best revenge is to enjoy life even louder. In short, Jangueo is a victory lap on the dance floor where regret gets left at the door and confidence takes the lead.
