Spanish singer-songwriter iñigo quintero delivers an intense pop ballad about spiraling when someone vital suddenly vanishes from your life. The song kicks off with disorientation and dread. I hate when I'm filled with this poison / And I hear thunder if you're not here"), comparing their absence to physical sickness and stormy chaos. It quickly turns into full sensory overload where he claims "se me aparecen mil planetas de repente / Esto es una alucinación" ("a thousand planets suddenly appear to me / this is a hallucination"). He is losing his grip on reality because the distance between them feels unbearable.
What makes the lyrics fun for language learners is how brutally honest he gets about his attachment. He admits, "Esto es una obsesión" ("This is an obsession") and calls out the person for playing games with "No vas de frente" ("You don't face things directly" or "You aren't straightforward"), which is a fantastic everyday Spanish idiom to describe someone being evasive. By the climax, he is fed up with tiny hints ("No me sirven tus pocas señales" ["Your few signs are no use to me"]) and ready to drop everything with "Dos billetes para amarte" ("Two tickets to love you"). It wraps up on an unapologetically dramatic confession: "estoy viciado a tu amor" ("I'm hooked on your love"), using estar viciado, a phrase usually meant for vices or bad habits, to show just how deep the craving goes.
This song from Spanish artist Iñigo Quintero is a spiral into obsession after a breakup. The singer feels completely stuck, repeating the same cycle of thoughts over and over: "Siempre lo mismo, siempre es lo mismo" (Always the same thing, it's always the same thing). He's lost all direction, telling his ex, "He perdido el norte junto a ti" (I've lost my way next to you). It's a secret pain, too. He confesses, "No lo sabe nadie y es que me falta el aire" (Nobody knows it, but I can't breathe), which is such a dramatic way to describe the feeling of being trapped in your own head.
The world has literally lost its color for him: "He borrado los colores / Y ahora lo veo todo gris" (I've erased the colors / And now I see everything in gray). He feels like the other person doesn't truly know him if they haven't seen him in this state. The song ends with a desperate, repeated plea: "Porfa, no me mientas / Y menos a la cara" (Please, don't lie to me / And less so to my face), suggesting that on top of everything else, he's dealing with dishonesty, which makes the whole situation even more painful.
This song feels like a secret confession whispered when everything is moving too fast. Íñigo Quintero sings about a huge change that's just started, saying, "Todo esto me ha cambiado / Y eso que acaba de empezar" (All this has changed me / And it's only just begun). He feels totally alone and overwhelmed, singing, "Todo va muy rápido / No encuentro el momento de parar" (Everything is going very fast / I can't find a moment to stop). It's that classic feeling of being in a new situation, surrounded by people, but not knowing who to trust.
The most powerful line, repeated throughout, is "No sé qué es lo que queda de mí" (I don't know what's left of me). He feels like he's losing his identity in all this chaos. He admits he's a coward for not talking about it and just dries his tears in private. Then, the song seems to turn to someone else who is also hiding their pain behind a brave face. He sees their "cara rota de tu dolor" (broken face of your pain) and understands their need to be alone. It's a song about two people struggling silently, feeling both far apart and deeply connected.
This song is all about feeling small and then being lifted up by someone's love. The singer sees himself as totally insignificant, calling himself "la última gota del mar" (the last drop in the sea), "una simple miga de pan" (a simple breadcrumb), and even "el más soso grano de sal" (the blandest grain of salt). He admits he can be difficult, saying "Sé que estoy algo insoportable" (I know I'm a bit unbearable).
But then there's this other person who sees everything differently, in full color. Their love is so powerful that it transforms him. Together, they become "la torre más alta de la ciudad" (the tallest tower in the city). The whole song is basically him asking in wonder, "¿Cómo lo haces?" (How do you do it?). It's a beautiful look at how the right person can completely change the way you see yourself.
Spanish singer Íñigo Quintero teams up with Hey Kid for this upbeat pop track that deals with the messy, frustrating aftermath of a breakup. The singer admits that he took far too long to move on, singing "Porque yo he tardado tanto en olvidarte" ("Because I have taken so long to forget you"). He is stuck in that awkward state where he feels guilty for not being able to fix things, bouncing between "Será por ti" ("Maybe it is because of you") and "Será por mí" ("Maybe it is because of me"). To make matters worse, an ex shows up out of nowhere crying: "¿por qué volviste a mí / Si yo no era nada para ti? / Di porqué con la cara empapada" ("why did you come back to me if I was nothing to you? Tell me why with your face soaked in tears"). That blunt image of a tear-soaked face sums up the whole confusing situation perfectly.
While the pain is real—he says "Se me parte el alma" ("My soul breaks" or "My heart breaks", a common idiom for intense grief)—the track pushes toward independence. Instead of waiting around for someone who made him feel like "Nada de lo que hice valió para ti" ("Nothing I did was worth anything to you"), he decides to take control back. His ultimate goal is simple and honest: "Ser el dueño de mi tiempo y pensar en mí" ("To be the master of my time and think about myself"). It turns heartbreak into a clear reminder to stop wasting energy on someone who only reaches out when it suits them.
This song feels like you're trapped inside your own head after a tough breakup. Íñigo Quintero starts by saying he's in a battle with his own thoughts, Los pensamientos a contracorriente (thoughts going against the current), and feels like he hasn't seen the sun in ages. He's dealing with someone he describes as inmortal (immortal) and sobrenatural (supernatural), a person who nunca vas de cara, no te quitas el disfraz (never shows your true face, you don't take off your disguise). It's this mysterious, maybe even toxic, person who has left him completely stuck.
The core of the song is this feeling of being paralyzed. He uses the incredible image of having a sword stuck in him: Con la espada clavada, no me dices nada (With the sword stuck in me, you say nothing). Because of this pain, he feels like he has Sin tiempo para bailar (No time to dance), no time or energy to enjoy life. But it's not all doom and gloom! By the end, there's a shift. He decides he's going to become a mejor versión (a better version) of himself, one who has killed the sorrow. The kisses are now just a memory from a invierno / Que no volverá jamás (winter / that will never come back), and this song is his final word on the matter.
This song feels like a late-night spiral after a painful breakup. Íñigo Quintero sings about a sudden, harsh return to the real world, saying, "Oigo las sirenas, choco con la realidad" (I hear the sirens, I crash with reality). He remembers a specific moment, a "sobredosis de emoción" (overdose of emotion), and how he used to look at someone completely captivated. Now that person is leaving, and he's left feeling lost and fragile in a city that hurts him.
The whole mood is dark and confused. He sings about danger hiding in the shadows and the difficulty of seeing the truth. The relationship sounds intense and maybe not so healthy; he admits he doesn't know if he should take what this person offers "porque es veneno" (because it's poison). He's avoiding their calls even though he knows it's a "plan fatal" (fatal plan), and worries about his reputation, feeling like he's always on the front pages for the wrong reasons.
Iñigo Quintero's "Extranjero" is a really heartfelt song about the pain of a breakup and trying to move on. The singer is clearly struggling, asking, "¿Cómo se olvida toda una vida?" [How do you forget a whole life?]. He feels completely lost and disconnected, even in his own city, which now feels unfamiliar, like he's a "extranjero en nuestra propia ciudad" [foreigner in our own city].
He's desperate to turn back time, wishing this wasn't the end and longing to see his ex again. The silence from the other person is really getting to him, feeling "eterno" [eternal]. Every street brings back a memory, making it hard to escape the sadness. He even suggests they just leave everything behind and run away together: "Déjalo todo y vente conmigo / Donde nadie nos pueda encontrar" [Leave everything and come with me / Where no one can find us]. It's a really emotional look at how hard it is to let go when a relationship ends.
Španielsky hudobník Iñigo Quintero v skladbe Si No Estás prináša poriadnu dávku popovej úzkosti z odlúčenia. Celá pieseň stojí na pocite prázdna a dezorientácie, keď niekto dôležitý zmizne z tvojho života. Spevák sa topí vo vlastných myšlienkach a spieva „odio cuando estoy lleno de este veneno y oigo truenos si no estás“ (nenávidím, keď som plný tohto jedu a počujem hromy, ak tu nie si). Tento vnútorný nepokoj opisuje až ako stav mimo reality: „¿Qué me has hecho?
Španjolski glazbenik Iñigo Quintero u ovoj pop pjesmi opisuje potpuni kaos u glavi kad nekoga nema u tvojoj blizini. Nedostatak druge osobe stvara mu nemir koji opisuje kroz oluju: „odio cuando estoy lleno de este veneno y oigo truenos si no estás” (mrzim kad sam pun ovog otrova i čujem grmljavinu kad nisi tu). Umjesto smirenog razmišljanja, pjesma prikazuje nekoga tko doslovno gubi tlo pod nogama.
Všechno vrcholí zoufalým povzdechem nad „tisíci prokletými nocemi bez objetí“ (mil noches malditas sin tu abrazo), kdy už má plné zuby čekání na neurčité signály a chce prostě jediné: mít toho druhého u sebe a utnout tenhle nekonečný chaos.
Španski muzičar Iñigo Quintero u pesmi Si No Estás peva upravo o toj vrsti haosa u glavi. Umesto mirne tuge, ovde imamo čistu paniku i oluju. On sam kaže: „odio cuando estoy lleno de este veneno y oigo truenos si no estás” („mrzim kada sam pun ovog otrova i čujem gromove ako nisi tu”).
Španski pevec Iñigo Quintero v pop uspešnici »Si No Estás« ne ovinkari: odsotnost drage osebe ga dobesedno spravlja ob pamet.
Karşı tarafın net olmamasından bıkmış durumda; "No vas de frente" (Açık oynamıyorsun / Dürüst davranmıyorsun) diyerek sitem ediyor.
