Lisa Lyrics in English by Young Miko
Sonograma is the Spanish word for "sonogram" or "ultrasound scan", a medical term you would almost never expect to hear in a reggaeton song. This surprising choice makes it an incredibly memorable and unique lyric.
In "Lisa", Young Miko cleverly uses this clinical word to make a bold statement about her relationships. By singing "Yo les doy y nunca hay sonograma" (I'm with them and there's never a sonogram), she creates a witty and provocative punchline, contrasting a technical term with the song's casual, party-centric theme.
Puerto Rican rapper Young Miko kicks off "Lisa" by admitting she falls in love way too fast: "Hablando claro, tengo un problema / Es que rápido me enchulo de las nenas" ("Speaking clearly, I have a problem / The thing is I quickly fall for girls"). In Puerto Rican slang, enchularse means to become head-over-heels infatuated or obsessed with someone. From there, she runs through every type of woman who catches her eye, loving both "thick y también skinny" ("curvy and skinny too"), from redheads in beanies to curly-haired girls living in Kissimmee, Florida, a city famous for its huge Puerto Rican diaspora.
The chorus turns into a playful roll call where she shouts out different women by name and gives each one a distinct quirk. Lisa and Patricia get told to shake it and break it on the dance floor, while Alejandra is classy like the art museum masterpiece ("Alejandra es fina como Mona Lisa"). Daniela likes to smoke without rushing, and Valeria never gets caught without her travel visa or credit card ("A Valeria no la pillan sin la visa"). Between offering to pay for everything with cold hard cash and tossing in cheeky Spanglish pickup lines like "Baby, I'm a gentleman, yo te quito el dress" ("Baby, I'm a gentleman, I take off your dress"), Miko keeps the mood light, confident, and full of bragging rights.
